Notice: Clothes Closet in desperate need of clothing, (boys and girls, jeans, shoes, coats and new socks and underwear). We have been thrilled to serve so many school children already this fall, that you continued contributions are greatly appreciated. Think about conducting a clothing drive at your campus. Hours of operation 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
At least 2 volunteers per hour are needed.
Do you need help getting school clothes for your children? Please visit the Council of PTA's Clothes Closet. We now have a new location — a portable building located between Erma Nash Elementary and R.L. Anderson Stadium. (The store was previously located in two classrooms inside the Alternative Education Center.)
Some details:
- The Council of PTAs opened the Clothes Closet in MISD in 2000.
- Customers are the parents of Mansfield students.
- Students are referred (via voucher) by school staff.
- Parents present a voucher for three (3) outfits for each school-age child.
- Parents can return every six weeks.
- Donations to the Clothes Closet come from MISD schools, the community and local businesses.
Campus Administrators, Teachers, Nurses, Counselors, and PTA Executive Board Members may present a Clothes Closet Voucher to any student in the MISD needing the opportunity to visit the Clothes Closet.
Vouchers may be obtained from your PTA President or by contacting Council Clothes Closet Chairperson, Rosie Lujan - 817-412-4717.
Directions: Take the right turn just as you pass the Erma Nash Elementary marquee. Follow this street just past the portables on the left. Take the last portable entrance just before you reach Magnolia. Look for the portable with the blue door;
OR
off Walnut Creek Drive turn on Magnolia (towards Erma Nash) and take the right entrance after Red Bluff;
OR
look for the portable building nearest the RL Anderson Stadium Visitors parking area.
