[Updated December 4, 2008] At the November 25, 2008 School Board Meeting, the Board approved the Internal-only posting of the Superintendent position. The internal posting will close December 19, 2008.
[Updated October 30, 2008] Meeting attendees and the district community were invited to fill out and return the Superintendent Profile Development Process Form that were then sent to the Educational Consultants. The form was available from Monday, October 20 through Wednesday, October 29, 2008.

 The Mansfield ISD Board of Education has secured Horn, Smith, Wood and Preston, Educational Consultants, LLC to conduct activities to help develop the profile for seeking a new superintendent.
The board is seeking observations and suggestions from a variety of stakeholders within the district community to finalize the profile. This information will then be compiled and reported back to the board so they and the consultants can be clear about what the district needs in its new superintendent.
On Monday, October 27, 2008, the educational consultants conducted meetings at various times of the day for district staff and community members to provide feedback and suggestions in order to help influence the type of superintendent that will be ultimately selected. (See schedule)
