[May 20, 2009]
On Monday, May 18, 2009 the Mansfield ISD Community Multi-Scholarship Program awarded 100 scholarships totaling over $80,000 to seniors from Legacy High School, Mansfield High School, Summit High School, Timberview High School, and the Alternative Education Center.
Approximately 40 donor groups worked throughout the year to raise funds to provide these scholarships. Chuck Wilson - Multi-Scholarship Community Chairman, Lynn Pemberton - Multi-Scholarship Community Liaison, and Andrea Hensley, Mansfield ISD Multi-Scholarship Liaison would like to thank all of the many participants in the community donor groups. These community donors make scholarships one of their top priorities each year by raising money to give so many Mansfield ISD seniors an extra boost to start the next step of their education.

Mansfield ISD Community Multi-Scholarship Program
The Mansfield ISD Community Multi-Scholarship Program is in its 30 th year. It began in 1979 with Trinity Forge, Inc. and Mansfield State Bank awarding two scholarships to two graduating Mansfield High School seniors. Many groups have joined the process over the years and it now includes all seniors at all of the MISD High Schools. It has grown from the two scholarships to 100 scholarships. Congratulations are in order for the senior recipients.
If your group or business would like to give a scholarship in the 2010 process, which will begin in January and conclude in May of 2010, please contact Chairman Chuck Wilson at the Mansfield Community Bank (817-473-5979), or Lynn Pemberton (817-946-4533) or Andrea Hensley-MISD Liaison (817-299-6363). |
