The general contractor for Annette Perry Elementary School, Hisaw & Associates, has ceased operations causing a temporary delay in the construction progress.
Mansfield ISD was recently made aware of the operational closure of Hisaw & Associates, the general contractor Annette Perry Elementary School. Because of these new developments, the projected opening date of the new campus is potentially in jeopardy. At this time, Mansfield ISD is working closely with the Liberty Mutual Surety (the project's bonding company) to move forward on the project.
“Everyone currently involved is committed to finishing construction on Perry Elementary and opening the campus to continue to meet the needs of our community,” said Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Bob Morrison. “The administration is currently researching all available options and will provide updates for parents as soon as we have determined the next appropriate step and have new information.”
A representative from the MISD Administration will attend the Annette Perry Elementary School parent meeting scheduled for 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 19 in the Erma Nash Elementary cafeteria. Parents will receive an update on construction of the school and have an opportunity to ask questions.
